Introducing Mangrove IPA (6.8%)
At this point, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re pretty enthusiastic about brewing big IPAs. We are always exploribg brewing with a broad variety of hops, and this ubiquitous styl just happens to be our favourite beer to showcase all the complex aromas and flavours that hops can provide. With past beers like 8 Days A Week (Single- hop Session IPA), we focused on highlighting a single hop variety with each new version, while with something like Juicebox IPA we decided to play with different combinations of hops such as Citra + Hallertau Blanc, Mandarina + El Dorado, and Azacca + Vic Secret in order to bring out unique combination of aromas and flavours out of the beer. Since its introduction in 2018, Cloud IPA has become one of our mainstays IPA, known for its intense tropical aromas, imparted by a mix of Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic.
This week’s release introduces a perfect counterpart to Cloud: Mangrove IPA, a juicy and dank IPA with a certain earthiness, pine-forward flavours, and a mild peppery finish. For this beer we used Simcoe (fruity, earthy, pine), Columbus (lemon, pine) and Galaxy (citrus, peach, pineapple) hops. Mangrove IPA hits the ideal balance between bitterness and sweetness while retaining a pleasantly similar soft mouthfeel and intense hop flavour like Cloud IPA.
Mangrove IPA is available now on tap and in our bottle shop, and we will keep it year-round as one of our rotational beers.
